Mjörn

On the second floor of our historic hotel there are four conference rooms. Three of the rooms are named after our nearby lakes, of which Lake Mjörn is the largest. The lake is popular for swimming, boating and fishing.

At Grand, Mjörn is a first-class conference room with an elegant atmosphere that is also suitable for a more intimate dinner. Three double doors to the foyer allow you to convert the room into three group rooms. The room has a nice daylight and there is flexible lighting and the possibility of blackout.

Curiosity – During HM Queen Silvia’s visit to Alingsås on April 12, 2012, when the Queen also visited the hotel, a formal lunch was held here in the premises. The Queen gave the opening speech at an international conference on palliative care arranged by Alingsås Hospital. Other guests included County Governor Lars Bäckström, representatives from Alingsås Municipality and Region Västra Götaland.

Also during Crown Princess Victoria’s official visit to Alingsås on September 21, 2004, a formal lunch was held here.
